Candlelight Materials
Coordinating a candlelight memorial for your community can involve a lot of different skills, from community mobilization to advocating AIDS messages. 2010 Candlelight Memorial Poster
Every year, the Global Health Council unveils a new poster and theme for the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. The theme for the 2009 Candlelight Memorial is "Many Lights for Human Rights" which is meant to promote both global solidarity and the need for collective action around HIV and human rights. The poster image was taken by Mihaela Bacalu during a memorial in 2009 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

2009 Candlelight Memorial Poster
Every year, the Global Health Council unveils a new poster and theme for the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. The theme for the 2009 Candlelight Memorial is "Together, We Are the Solution," which is meant to promote both global solidarity and resolution to the problem of AIDS, and that only when we work in partnership together can we see change. The poster image was taken during a memorial in 2008 by the Hanoi Buddhist Association in Hanoi, Vietnam.

2008 Candlelight Memorial Poster
Every year, the Global Health Council unveils a new poster and theme for the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. The 2008 poster features a memorial in New Delhi, India from 2007 and symbolizes our global solidarity as well as our geographic diversity. The theme for the 25th Anniversary Candlelight Memorial is “Never Give Up. Never Forget,” reflecting the crossroads in time this Memorial represents. It reminds us we must learn from the past and remember those lost, as well as never give up our collective fight against the disease.

Candlelight Coordinator Manual
The Coordinator Manual is produced by the Global Health Council to guide coordinators in the planning, production, and evaluation of their community events for the Candlelight Memorial. The manual provides a general framework for arranging memorials and helpful ideas for mobilizing communities.
